For the past few weeks, Ryan and I have spent quite a bit of time with our families. I dubbed the 4th of July weekend "Rennaker Fest 2008." My parents and Bethany flew down to spend 5 days with us. We stayed in the Salt Lake/Provo area and enjoyed some new and fun experiences:
- Hiking Bridal Veil Falls
- Watching the hot air balloons take off (sort of) as part of the Freedom Festival
- Visiting the Church History Museum in Salt Lake
- Spending the afternoon at Raging Waters in Salt Lake
- Had family pictures taken
It was a blast!
The weekend after my family left, Ryan and I headed up to Spokane to spend a week and a half with the Robinson clan. We spent 5 days at a cabin at Lake Sacheen, about 45 min. north of Spokane. We spent the weekend fishing, boating, tubing, water skiing, and best of all...relaxing! It was so much fun! From there, we headed to Fairfield, MT for the Ely Family Reunion (Ryan's Grandmother's side of the family). The reunion was held on Great Grandma and Grandpa Ely's dairy farm. It was tons of fun. I met a lot of family and spent most of the time trying to figure out which people belong to which families. It was a great trip!
