I'm finally updating my blog. Better late than never, right? Well, the end of August is an exciting time at the Robinson household. I celebrate my birthday on the 21st, then Ryan and I celebrate our Anniversary on the 25th. (I wanted to be 21 when I got married.) So, here is a little about our exciting week:
On Thursday, the 21st, Aaron and Carissa came down from Salt Lake to have dinner with us at Red Lobster. The food was awesome, but I felt a little cheated when it came to the free desert accompanied by the obligatory singing of some silly birthday song by the restaurant staff. They went to the effort of writing "Happy Birthday" with raspberry sauce, but then just piled some whipped cream in the bowl and put the candle in it. I was looking for some ice cream, at least! But, all was not lost because Ryan bought me a Dairy Queen ice cream cake...my fave!

Jessica's B-day Featuring: Ryan, Jessica, Aaron (my big bro), Carissa (my fave sis-in-law), and our friend Maggie.Next up, on Friday, we attended our good friend Justin Schwartz's wedding reception. Although he and his wife are both from Moscow, ID and their families live there as well, they got married in Salt Lake. Which is okay by me, because that's the only way we would have been able to go to their reception. It was held in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building...and was catered...and the food was really, really good.

After the reception, we met up with our neighbors from Rexburg, Adam and Natalie and their new baby Mckayla. We miss Adam and Nat and they should probably move down to Provo to play with us.Saturday, for part of our Anniversary gifts to ourselves, we went and got massages! It was heavenly. We went to the Utah College of Massage Therapy, because it's cheaper than going anywhere else. It was very relaxing. It would have been better for me if I wasn't prego, because I had to lay on my side the whole time and didn't get the full effect, but it was still awesome. Later on Saturday, we went to see Kung Fu Panda. It was so funny! And totally worth our $2.50!
Monday was our Anniversary. Ryan had to work and I got a call to start a temp job late Monday morning (Hallelujah!). When I came home from work, Ryan had part of my gift waiting for me on the kitchen table. He gave me a rose with a note that said: Today you get a clean bathroom AND flowers. It was an awesome gift...I don't particularly like cleaning the bathroom. Then I gave Ryan a little something I had put together.
Later that night, we went to Rock Canyon Park, where they show old movies every Monday in August on a 40 foot blow-up screen. We had never gone because Ryan worked so early the next day, but we decided to splurge. They showed "Charade" starring Audrey Hepburn and Carey Grant. Overall, I would say it was a pretty exceptional week.

Awesome Blogsome.
Woohoo! I loved your blog. I am sooo glad that you finally posted another one!! Sounds like a fun anniversary and birthday. I first read your blog about an hour ago and I am still pretty outraged about your complementary birthday whipped cream.
Hey Jessie! It's good to see what you are up to! You are a good looking pregnant woman. Sorry I haven't called you back when you called me years ago. I always remeber when it is too late to call. But I will, and we will catch up soon! Miss you!
