Snow Day, SA Children's Museum, SA Rodeo

We have had a busy few weeks! We had SNOW here in San Antonio on February 4th! It was the first time in 26 years. Ryan got the day off, which made for a great 3-day weekend. Although there was only a skiff of snow, the city is not equipped to deal with snow, which caused the whole city shut down. (To their credit, there was a layer of ice under the snow.) They even closed the freeways. It was kind of comical to us, being from the Northwest and being used to the snow. The funniest thing was when we saw on the news a helicopter view of I-10: There were 3 mensweeping the snow off the closed interstate with push brooms! How far did they think that was going to get them? I do understand that many people who live here have never seen snow, but it was funny anyway.

We took Morgan to the Children's Museum downtown. It was really fun!

Here is Morgan playing on our balcony.

A few weekends ago, the whole family went to the park. I can't believe how beautiful the weather is most of the time!

This last Saturday was my favorite day since we've been here. We went to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. In the morning we took the kids to the "fair grounds." Unfortunately, we forgot our camera, but we rode the carousel, saw lots of animals, watched a livestock auction, and ate lots of good food! I got a funnel cake and Ryan "had to have" a deep-fried Snickers. He loved it! We went home and had naps, then later in the evening, Ryan and I left the kids with some friends and headed to the rodeo finals. There was bare-back and saddle bronco riding, barrel racing, bull riding, team roping. It was so great!

Every night the rodeo is followed by a concert. We were able to see Josh Turner. It was awesome! Our seats were not great (2nd row from the top), but it was so fun anyway! We had a great time!

So, I just realized Morgans glasses are on upside down in the picture on the balcony. To me, that is one of the cutest things kids do.

I'm still so jealous you got to see Josh Turner.
