Tribute to Keisha

This is actually Ryan this time. This is my first blog post ever! We got Keisha from the humane society as a little fur ball puppy April 1994. Keisha is as much a part of my family as Quinn (my little brother in the picture below on the right). Keisha and Quinn have both been part of our family for about 17 years. On March 18th, 2011 the time had finally come that Keisha needed to be put-to-sleep. My two brothers (shown below), my dad and I took Keisha to the vet's to be put to sleep. It was very sad and we were all in tears. Keisha wasn't giving up without a fight though. The vet gave her the dose of anesthetic that they had calculated would do the job. But after the whole dose Keisha was still standing. I think the vet was pretty suprised, but she did a good job of not showing it. She went to go get a second dose which gave us a little more time to pet Keisha and tell her good-bye. After the ordeal was over we buried her on my parents property. Keisha will always be a part of our family. For the last 17 years she has always been waiting for us to get home from school or work every day. She would always be waiting out in the driveway for us. Keisha went everywhere with us; on pack trips, to the lake and on dates with us (just kidding about the dates, but I wish). Even the last few weeks here, she would still go out with us when we would go to feed the horses or go jogging. I don't know if all dogs go to heaven, but I know Keisha did! We will miss our friend dearly.

We had a family dog for 14 years. I cried for like a week when we had to put her to sleep. Keisha is definitely in heaven and maybe she's friends with my Sandy.

Sorry for your loss Ryan! I'm sure all dogs do go to Heaven! They made a movie about it and I used to watch it as a child...the lil girl in the video is an orphan named Anne-Marie, and even though I am not an orphan and my name does not have an e or a hyphan, My name is Ann Marie and I can state that ALL dogs do go to Heaven!!
PS My fam has a cat that we've had for 16 years also, my parents would send me more pics of him on my mish than pics of my bros!! haha! We love him!
